Terri Harrington graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1979, and from Denver University School of Law in 1982. She was a State Public Defender in Jefferson County from 1982 to 1987. In May of 1987, Terri formed her own law firm and is currently a shareholder in the firm of Harrington Brewster and Clein, P.C.. After 25 years as a criminal, civil and domestic litigator, Terri specializes in divorce representation, all types of family law, all types of mediation, early neutral evaluation and collaborative law.

She has experience litigating in the following areas: professional and medical malpractice, general civil cases, tort and personal injury, family law, employment law and environmental law.

Terri is past president of the Colorado Collaborative Law Professionals, Past President of the Rocky Mountain Collaborative Law Professionals, Treasurer of Metro Denver Interdisciplinary Committee, a member of the Academy of Colorado Collaborative Professionals, a member of the executive board of the Family Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association, the International Academy of Collaborative Practice, and the Colorado Council of Mediators. She has studied conflict resolution, and non-adversarial communication since 1997. Terri is a contributing author of Collaborative Law, A New Model for Dispute Resolution, and has published many articles about dispute resolution and collaborative law.

Terri has been a guest speaker at the law schools at the University of Denver and the University of Colorado, conducted numerous trainings in the areas of mediation and collaborative practice, and is a lecturer for local Continuing Legal Education programs.

Terri has successfully litigated, mediated and negotiated thousands of cases. She enjoys conducting mediations for parties in all types of cases. She believes that lawyers can help parties reduce damaging conflict through collaboration and mediation.

Terri is also available for group facilitation, consultation, early neutral evaluation and limited legal representation.
